Ayurvedic Nutrition Consultations

Learn how to nourish your body, mind, and soul

Do you feel like you have tried everything but still aren’t getting the results you want? Do you find yourself often tired and not knowing what to eat? Are you overwhelmed by ever-changing and often conflicting health information? Are you having a hard time focusing on your self-care and maintaining overall balance in your life? Could you use some support and guidance to bring yourself again into balance and regain your vitality?

Ayurvedic Nutrition is the way to nourish yourself, restore balance in both body and mind, and get to know yourself. In Ayurveda, food is treated as medicine and promotes physical and mental health. This ancient wisdom can help you get to the root of your health challenges.

An Ayurvedic Nutrition Consultation will help you establish a sustainable daily eating and self-care routine tailored to your needs. Whether you want to address specific health concerns, shed some extra pounds, recover postpartum, or expand and deepen your understanding of Ayurvedic Nutrition, I am here to support you in your journey towards a healthier lifestyle.

As a full-time working mom, I value how precious your time is. My top priority is to make sure that the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda complements and supports your modern and busy lifestyle.

"The body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in."

What to expect

Change your habits. Change your life.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, there is no universal approach that works for all individuals. Instead, we will take into account your unique body constitution through an assessment of your physical and emotional health status (including completing a Dosha quiz), your current stage of life, as well as your personal goals to assess your needs and identify what will bring you into greater balance and health. As we work together, you can expect highly personalized care and guidance.

I create a personalized plan only for you that includes dietary recommendations, healthy weekly menus, and lifestyle changes for improved health, such as body care, yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises. Together, we create a daily routine that suits your lifestyle and meets you where you're at.

You will receive a comprehensive wellness plan and gain a better understanding of your unique body type. This will help you support your body and mind through the seasons and every stage of your life. My goal is to help you implement these changes even after our work together.

Ayurveda is the science of life and longevity, guiding us how to align ourselves with nature's cycles and nurture ourselves with mindfulness.

Ayurveda focuses on the individual and their unique needs, and recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all diet or lifestyle that fits everyone at all times. It takes into consideration the whole person rather than just the symptoms, and aims to heal imbalances, cure diseases, and lead people to a healthier lifestyle.

From an ayurvedic perspective, when your mind, body, and spirit are aligned with the universe, you have good health. When something interferes with the balance, then this leads to dis-ease.

Ayurvedic medicine is holistic. It takes into account the mind, the emotions, the spirit, and the physical body. It teaches us to take care of ourselves and to look after our body, mind, and soul.

Ayurveda is based on the five elements:

  • Water

  • Air

  • Fire

  • Space

  • Earth

The elements work with life force energies - the doshas- that, simply put, make up everything around us, including us.

These doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. From an Ayurvedic point of view, dis-ease in the body is connected with an imbalance of the doshas. Here are the main functions of each dosha:

  • Vata: responsible for movement, speech, and thought, as well as respiration, nervous system, and circulation

  • Pitta: responsible for digestion, metabolism, and excretion.

  • Kapha: responsible for nutrition, reproduction, and immunity.

What is the Ayurvedic diet about?

Ayurveda believes that food is medicine. It promotes and supports our overall health. The Ayurvedic diet is always tailored to your specific needs based on the principles of the doshas. From this perspective, Ayurvedic food is also divided into these three categories - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. For each dosha, there are pacifying foods that will help balance a dosha out of balance, and foods that would aggravate any imbalance.
