My Autumn Rituals for Calm & Warmth

Autumn has always been one of my favorite seasons. The air gets crisper, the light softer, and life naturally slows down a little. During this time, I find myself coming back to small rituals that bring me warmth and calm. I’d love to share a few of them with you:

1. Yoga with Candlelight

In the darker mornings and evenings, I love to roll out my mat, light a candle, and move through a few gentle postures. The warm glow instantly creates a quiet, safe space and makes my practice feel more grounding.

My favorite singing bowl, and the first tester of the Lavender Field candle. Back then, it was already lovely. Today, the candle has evolved into an even more beautiful version.

I hand-pour candles from coconut and soy wax in Lachen, Switzerland. They are part of my own rituals and also available in my shop.

2. Sound & Stillness

Autumn is also a time when I turn more inward. I often sit down with my singing bowls or enjoy a short sound meditation. The vibrations help me let go of the day and arrive back in my body.

3. Tea Moments

My family and close friends will tell you: I can never resist a cup of tea, especially in autumn. A warm cup with ginger, cinnamon, or cardamom feels like a hug from the inside. Making tea becomes a mindful pause, not just a drink.

4. Walks in Nature

When the leaves start turning, I try to spend time outside, even if just for a short walk. Being surrounded by the colors and the fresh air gives me perspective and energy.

Just an autumn leaf or a quiet reminder to slow down and notice the little things?

These little rituals help me welcome the season with more ease. Whether it’s the comfort of tea, the glow of a candle, or the resonance of sound, they remind me to slow down and savor the moment.

Thanks for reading! If this resonated with you, feel free to share or join me sometime for a yoga class or a sound bath:))
